Beaches In Novalja

The natural beauty of Novalja lies mostly in its beautiful beaches, which are classified as the most beautiful beaches of the Adriatic coast and perhaps of the whole of Croatia - Zrće, Caska, Straško, Babe, Trinćel, Braničevica and Vrtić.

The beaches of Zrće and Planjka (Trinćel - Novalja) as well as the beach Straško (within the Straško camp) are all classified as Blue Flag beaches.

The Zrće beach is a pebble beach nearby the city of Novalja, situated not far from the camp Straško.
The Zrće is within a walking distance, but there is also a possibility to go by car or by a mini-bus which regularly leaves from Novalja.
The beach has several beach bars, offers wake-board (a mixture of water skiing and surfing) jet ski, beach chairs, sunshades and other activities. In the evening the beach turns into the main party place on the island, known for its wild nightlife, not only on the coast but in the whole of Croatia.

The Vrtić beach is a small sandy beach in the town center, which aspires to become the town's main beach due to its proximity to the city and gravel-sand substrates that are suitable for families with small children. The beach provides breathtaking views of the bay of Novalja particularly in the evening.

The Straško Beach is located south of the center, in the Camp Straško. Although there is some sand, gravel prevails on the 2 km long beach, but a few meters into the water the floor is sandy. The beach is located in a forest of oak and pine trees with plenty of natural shade. The beach has a blue flag, life guards, first aid, ramps for people with disabilities and other facilities that are adapted to their special needs, restaurants, scooters, pedal boats, kayaks, showers, sanitary facilities, etc. The beach has zones for different activities for children and adults - animation. The beach also has a section where pets can stay and where dogs can even enter the water.

Seeing as how the Straško beach is located in the southwest, its gravel coast makes a great viewpoint for magnificent sunsets, for watching the sun dive into the water just behind the opposite islands of Kvarner and the Northern Adriatic.

The Caska Beach within the bay of Pag is especially attractive for families with children. Along this sandy beach there are several small restaurants and beach bars.

The beaches are very spacious, made of sand and gravel, with clear water and excellent access to the sea and are therefore particularly suitable for families with children. The beaches in Novalja, whether they are beaches with Blue Flags, award winning beaches or "ordinary" beaches, they all have a rich offer ranging from hospitality facilities and infrastructure to animation programs.
