Culture and entertainment in Novalja

Novalja has a long and rich history, which is witnessed by many remains of antique structures in the town and its surroundings.

One of the most famous ones is the unique antique waterline engraved in stone from the 1st century, and sunk remains of the Roman city Cissa on the location of today’s Caska.

Especially interesting for divers is the finding of the remains of the sunken trading ship with amphora load from the 1st century BC by the eastern coast of the island of Pag.
